"The house, a 16th century monastery on 90 acres, was once associated with Clonmacnoise. In times of trouble it is reputed that the monks of Clonmacnoise brought their valuables to this place to prevent them from being pillaged." Strawberrry Hill House, today is a tastefully restored very comfortable family home on circa 60 acres which is available for exclusive private rentals.

The period architecture with the pointed Gothic windows, & doors bring forth the character of this house. When you enter through the Gothic Door of Strawberry Hill House, you are transported to a world of calm. There is a very warm, restful, therapeutic feel to this house that is not prevalent amongst most period houses. It is as if the monks of long ago are still welcoming you to come for a rest, a break, some quality family time, or just some plain ol’ time out of the rat race, the celtic tiger or the recession. Whatever, your stress is – this is the place to leave it all behind.

The Grounds are available for guests use for long walks of interest exploring the many historical interests. Strawberry Hill house is also available to hire exclusively for Weddings, & Events or as a film location. Based in the Heart of Ireland, Strawberry Hill house is the ideal location for walking, fishing, golfing, or exploring the many visitor attractions and in particular the sites of rich historic interest. Many of these cannot be seen anywhere else in the world.
